RECKER TO WED Mrs. Melinda Clark and Mr. Charles Clark of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, along with Mr. Richard Cimba and Mrs. Valerie Cimba, are extremely pleased to announce the engagement of Mrs. Clark's and Mr. Cimba's daughter, Olivia M. Cimba to Matthew J. Recker, son of Ms. Sandra Recker of Duncansville, Pennsylvania. Ms. Cimba graduated from Greater Latrobe Senior High School in 2008 and attended The University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. This spring she will earn her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania, and is currently a registered nurse at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Mr. Recker is a 2009 graduate of Hollidaysburg Area Senior High School and attended the The University of Pittsburgh where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. He will graduate this spring with his Doctor of Medicine degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and will be entering the field of neurosurgery. The couple met during their undergraduate studies at The University of Pittsburgh. Their spring wedding will be held at The University of Pittsburgh's Heinz Memorial Chapel.

CASSANDRA DELP AND ASHRAF REYAD Cassandra Delp and Ashraf Reyad were married January 15, 2017, at St. Mary's Coptic Orthodox Church in Ambridge, PA. The bride is the daughter of William and Sharon Delp of Murrysville. The groom is the son of Ibrahim and Ogeneih Reyad of Dubai, UAE. The couple hosted a celebratory reception at the Omni William Penn where guests dined on prime rib and swordfish and a thousand homemade cookies. A Zaffa procession with the Shamadan, bellydancers and drummers led the wedding party into the Urban Room. The couple are residing in Baltimore, Maryland where Ashraf is a Fellow in Abdominal Transplant Surgery and Cassandra is the Clinical Research Coordinator for Fetal Therapy at the Johns Hopkins Hospital.

GIUSEPPINA SCIULLI Congratulations to Giuseppina Sciulli as she celebrates her 100th birthday on March 17, 2017. Born in a small town in the Abruzzo region of Italy, named Gamberale, she met and married her late husband, Lorenzo Sciulli. Together they raised 5 children: Federico (deceased), Teresa (Dominic), Carmen (Pat), Maria (Nunzio) and Joe (Sharon). Mrs. Sciulli immigrated to the United States in 1959 to the Oakland area of Pittsburgh where she still resides. She was Blessed with 16 grandchildren and 24 great- grandchildren. An avid gardener, Mrs. Sciulli also enjoyed crocheting and being around her family. God Bless Giuseppina Sciulli on her special day! We love you!

They were honored at a family dinner on Mt. Washington.

MERCEDA (BIORDI) and COLONEL (retired) JOSEPH PAUL SAFFRON Colonel (retired) and Mrs. Joseph Paul Saffron of the North Hills, Pittsburgh, recently celebrated their Golden Anniversary with 40 family and friends at the Alihans Mediterranean Cuisine restaurant in Pittsburgh on Saturday, April 15, 2017. Included among the guests were six members of the original bridal party. The family celebration continued with an Easter brunch the following day. The couple married on April 1, 1967, at the Purification Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Ellwood City, Pa. Joe was active with the US Army for 28 years in Germany, Vietnam, Korea, and several locations throughout the United States with his final assignment in Washington, DC. Merceda was an art teacher for 25 years in Fairfax County, Virginia where she served as president of a professional teachers' organization, Art Chairperson at West Springfield High School, and was named Art Teacher of the Year for Northern Virginia. They are the proud parents of Joseph (Lisa) Saffron of Mechanicsburg, Pa; Jen Saffron of Pittsburgh, Pa, and Andy (Ali) Saffron of Springfield, Va.
