Sweet Lola
They laughed at her at school
She was thirteen and overweight
And her mother always wondered why
She was always coming home so late
Lola told her she took the long way
To avoid walking straight through town
Cause then her classmates wouldn't be able
To laugh at her and put
her down
Listen to me her mother said
You're a sweet and
beautiful person
And if I hear another word about those classmates
I'm going down to that school and cursin
Lola pleaded with her mother please don't
For you'll only make it
worse for me
I will deal with this on my own
Cause it's all gonna pass you'll see
Ten years went by in a flash
And Lola was quite the dish
Guys were knocking down her door for a date
And her old classmates could only wish
